Jay Blanton

Founder & Managing Principal

Jay has been involved in commercial real estate brokerage, consulting and development full-time since 1987. Prior to moving to Charlotte in 1997, he spent 10 years in downtown Washington, D.C., as a commercial real estate broker initially with Grubb & Ellis and later with Faison. In Charlotte, Jay was Vice President, Corporate Services, with Lincoln Harris where he represented such clients as US LEC, J.C. Bradford & Company, Interstate/Johnson Lane, ALLTEL, Wachovia Securities, Bank of America and The Urban Land Institute. During his four years with Lincoln Harris, he completed over 60 transactions in 50 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada. Jay left Lincoln Harris in 2001 to form Insite Properties.

At Insite, Jay is responsible for strategic direction, management oversight, investment decisions, investor relations, and capitalization of Insite’s acquisitions and development projects.

    Principal

    Bart has been a commercial real estate professional for almost 15 years, successfully completing acquisition and development projects in excess of several hundred million dollars. As a native of Charlotte, N.C., and with his extensive work all over the Southeast, Bart is a knowledgeable and valuable resource to his clients in the region. Bart relies on his real estate expertise and substantial financial analytics skills to provide clients exceptional service. Prior to his entry into real estate, Bart spent 10 years in corporate sales and marketing for the financial and banking industry.

    At Insite, Bart is primarily focused on new business opportunities, acquisitions, development, company investments and investor relationships.

    Andrea Glassberg

    Controller

    Andrea joined Insite Properties in 2017.  She brings nearly 16 years of progressive accounting experience to her position as Controller at Insite Properties.  She has experience with small businesses and large firms in industries such as commercial property development, healthcare, entertainment, marketing agencies, and non-profits. Andrea's analytical skills and financial reporting acumen assures superior service and benefits to our clients.

    Andrea was born and raised in upstate New York. She moved to Charlotte in 2014 with her husband and two dogs. Andrea lives in a 1931 craftsman bungalow in Charlotte's historic neighborhood, Wilmore. In her spare time, she serves on the planning committee for Charlotte VegFest, which is an annual festival that brings 4,000+ attendees and 100+ vendors.

  • Mary Wilken

    Mary Wilken

    Director of Asset Management

    Mary, formerly president of Home Management LLC, is a real estate and business professional with nearly 30 years of experience. In addition to her membership in the National Association of Realtors and the North Carolina Association of Realtors, she holds multiple certifications and accreditations, including Certified Property Manager (CPM) through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) from the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute, a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) certification from the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers, and an Association Management Specialist (AMS) certification from the Community Associations Institute.

    Mary has held several leadership positions with IREM, both nationally and with the Western North Carolina Chapter. Her involvement in national IREM includes serving on its board of directors, serving as chair of the Ethics Hearing Board and serving with the board of the IREM Foundation (currently serving as its Vice President), a philanthropic effort to financially support students seeking college and industry learning opportunities. In addition, Mary has been heavily involved in Classroom Central Charlotte, a nonprofit organization that collects and distributes school supplies to children living in poverty in the Charlotte area. Mary served on the Classroom Central board of directors from 2004 to 2010 and on the executive committee from 2007 to 2010. Additionally, Mary is a recipient of the Charlotte Business Journal Women in Business Achievement Award.

    One of Mary’s primary goals for Insite’s commercial clients throughout the growth and expansion of Insite’s management portfolio is to continue to ensure that they are able to focus on their core business with the assurance that the supporting services related to property management, facility maintenance and communications are being expertly handled by the Insite team.   “To build on the formidable base already established by Insite is an exciting endeavor”, says Wilken.

    A native of Vienna, Va., Mary currently resides in Charlotte, N.C., with her husband of 28 years. They have three children and two grandchildren.

    Stephen Pandos

    Stephen Pandos

    Director of Finance

     

    Stephen is responsible for capital relationships and acquisitions at Insite.  Stephen is a twenty five-year real estate investment and asset management professional. He co-founded two real estate investment funds and held investment committee and Board responsibilities. 

     

    Stephen co-founded the Coventry Real Estate Fund which invests in net leased real estate assets focusing on sub-investment grade and sponsor backed companies. 

     

    Stephen also was a co-founder and Managing Director of Columbus Nova Acquisition Group (CRAG) which is the manager of Real Estate Funds I & II. The funds invest in net leased real estate leased to sub-investment grade and sponsor backed companies as well as value add distribution properties located in port cities in the southeast.  Columbus Nova also managed separate account relationships for institutional real estate investors.

    Jonathan Douglas

    Jonathan Douglas

    Broker

    Jonathan joined Insite Properties as Brokerage Associate in 2014 to focus on property leasing activities, to assist with investment sales and acquisitions, and to contribute to property marketing efforts. He is proficient in performing various types of financial analysis and underwriting for property financing efforts, acquisitions, dispositions and development using Insite’s proprietary excel-based proforma models incorporating Argus software. Prior to moving to Charlotte, Jonathan worked for PRG Real Estate in Nashville, Tennessee for 6 years as Property Manager for a multi-family property where he directed all leasing activity, property budgeting, and daily operations while also leading the property through the sales/disposition process. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance with an emphasis in Real Estate from Clemson University and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.

    Property Manager

    Jessica, one of the newest members of our Insite Properties team discovered her passion for property management and real estate in 2011. She transitioned her career journey from Wall Street, NY with Goldman Sachs to new multi-family construction lease-up properties in Charlotte, NC. She has utilized her great analytical and financial knowledge to quickly grow in the industry and into our multi-site Commercial Property Manager. She is looking to leave her footprint on each site as well as lead them to financial success.

    Property Assistant

    Gina joined the Property Management team at Insite in 2015. As Property Assistant, Gina manages daily property operations and administration for the various properties that Insite manages. Her more than ten years of experience in real estate along with her accounting background make her a great asset to the Insite team.     Stephen Pandos

    LaShonda Jeter

    Property Accountant

    LaShonda joined Insite Properties at the end of 2017 as a Property Accountant. She came to Insite with over 15 years of accounting experience in various industries/sectors such as government, mental health, entertainment and property management in addition to working with a salon franchise. She also has over 5 years of commercial, residential, and multi-family real estate experience.

     

    Before joining Insite Properties, LaShonda worked for Jones Lang LaSalle where she gained most of her background in commercial real estate.  Prior to that, she held a variety of positions such as multi-family property manager, accounting analyst, property administrator, and property accountant. LaShonda’s professional skills and education from both High Point University and Johnson C. Smith University will allow her to be an asset to Insite’s team.

    LaShonda holds several certifications in accounting, customer service, and computer software. She is also an active Notary Public of North Carolina. She has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, The Women’s Shelter and several Outreach Ministries.

     

    As a native of Winston-Salem, NC, LaShonda currently resides in Charlotte, NC with her daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, traveling, critiquing restaurants, and dancing.

    Amber Wilken

    Amber Wilken

    Operations Administrator

    Amber joined Insite Properties on a temporary basis in November of 2017 and transitioned into a fulltime role in April of 2018.  Amber came to us after more than 11 years at Atrium Health, formerly Carolinas Healthcare System.  Amber brought with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in multiple facets of the healthcare sector focusing particularly in administration, management and finance.  Amber is also an active North Carolina Notary Public.

     

    Amber is proud of the additional work-related opportunities that she has participated in over the years, from leading or serving on multiple committees such as the CHS Giving Campaign, Performance Improvement Committees and Shared Governance to organizing multiple community blood drives, fundraisers, and her work with the Union County Christmas Bureau.

     

    Though born in Ohio, Amber has lived in North Carolina for most of her life. She currently resides in Charlotte with her husband, two daughters and their dog.
