Bethany joined Insite Properties in February 2021. As Property Manager, she oversees a diverse portfolio of office, medical and commercial associations in the Charlotte metropolitan area. Bethany has been involved in real estate management since 2014. She has worked with one of the leading firms of the student housing market based out of Chicago, IL, under many titles from leasing manager to general manager. After five years, Bethany shifted gears to managing Homeowners Associations with a local Charlotte firm. She then made the transition to commercial property management with Insite and has never looked back. Since arriving at Insite Properties, Bethany has moved seamlessly into commercial property management, her ability to manage a multitude of property types, in both the residential and commercial real estate arena, along with her strong acumen for time management, budgeting, maintenance tracking and project oversight has made her a wonderful asset to Insite and the clients she serves.  Her focus on details and hands on approach has made a positive impact with owners and tenants.

Jay has been involved in commercial real estate brokerage, consulting and development full-time since 1987. Prior to moving to Charlotte in 1997, he spent 10 years in downtown Washington, D.C., as a commercial real estate broker initially with Grubb & Ellis and later with Faison. In Charlotte, Jay was Vice President, Corporate Services, with Lincoln Harris where he represented such clients as US LEC, J.C. Bradford & Company, Interstate/Johnson Lane, ALLTEL, Wachovia Securities, Bank of America and The Urban Land Institute. During his four years with Lincoln Harris, he completed over 60 transactions in 50 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada. Jay left Lincoln Harris in 2001 to form Insite Properties.
At Insite, Jay is responsible for strategic direction, management oversight, investment decisions, investor relations, and capitalization of Insite’s acquisitions and development projects.

Jerry joined Insite Properties in 2014. Prior to coming onboard with Insite, he held management positions with other commercial property management groups where he gained a vast knowledge and was vocal with developing their engineering and maintenance teams. Jerry has over 30 years of Building Engineering and Maintenance Management experience with a vast skill set, including IT knowledge and experience, that has proven to be invaluable to our organization. 

Jerry currently directs daily property maintenance operations. He leads our growing engineering and maintenance team and has also developed and is managing our commercial HVAC division. Jerry’s other daily functions include being pivotal in collaborating and assisting with current commercial construction.

Jonathan focuses on office, medical office and industrial acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects across the Southeast. He is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and capitalizing investment opportunities for Insite and its separate account investor clients. Jonathan is experienced in performing various forms of financial analysis and is also proficient with Argus software. He joined Insite in 2014 and served his first five years as Brokerage Associate where he focused on Insite portfolio and third-party landlord leasing assignments and property marketing efforts. Prior to moving to Charlotte, Jonathan worked as a Multi-Family Property Manager for PRG Real Estate for six years in Nashville, Tennessee.

Jonathan was a recurring half time show at Miami Heat games as a youngster.

Kristyn joined Insite Properties in January 2023, and currently manages the day-to-day operations of Insite’s Medical and Office Space buildings in the Nashville, TN market. Kristyn discovered her passion for property management in the residential multi-family industry where she excelled in new construction lease-up, transitioned, and stabilized assets in Tennessee. Ebony brings over 3 years of experience in residential property management. Julie Hatch joined Insite properties in September 2023 as Director of Property Accounting, Julie brings over 25 years of real estate and property management experience. She is responsible for the property accounting operations of the company and overseeing three Accountants and an AP/AR Team.
Julie received her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina and lives with her husband Ron of 25 years, along with their two dogs and cat. She has two children, both currently attending college. Ron is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, but has lived in Chicago, Seattle, and Connecticut. He spent 14 years in law enforcement (security) before joining the Insite team on a permanent basis in 2017.

Lewis recently joined Insite Properties in June of 2022. As part of our HVAC division, he holds the role of Sr. HVAC Technician. He brings over 10 years of experience in HVAC diagnosis to motor changeouts. Lewis has an associate degree in Commercial HVAC from Central Piedmont Community College and has received his commercial HVAC license. He is a native of Wadesboro, NC, but resides in Charlotte, NC. Auburn joined Insite Properties in the beginning of 2022 bringing 9 years of experience in residential property management and real estate operations. Starting out as a leasing professional and working her way up to a multi-site property manager, she has an extensive amount of knowledge and experience in subsidized housing, single-family and multi-family property management. With her passion for real estate and property management, she decided a career change to commercial real estate was her next calling.

Jordan joined Insite Properties in 2019 after graduating from Mallard Creek High School. Leadership within Insite’s maintenance department has provided Jordan with a skill set that he continues to expand as opportunities present themselves.  He also works intermittently within the HVAC department, which has proven to be advantageous for both Jordan and Insite.

During his free time, Jordan enjoys movies and collecting sneakers.

Brett brings a wealth of experience to Insite, having spent the last decade as the Head of Capital Markets for TLD Land & Development Company in Atlanta, GA. In this role, he managed all equity and debt raising for the firm, as well as asset sales and capital restructuring.

Prior to his tenure at TLD, Brett was the Co-Head of Real Estate Capital Markets (RECM) at Wachovia Securities. He also served as the Head of the Income Property Group and the Multifamily Finance & Investment Group within Wachovia's Real Estate Division. His responsibilities included overseeing Wachovia's 28 Regional Production Offices across the US, which were responsible for private real estate client coverage and origination, including portfolio and CMBS. Additionally, Brett managed Multifamily Capital and all agency lines of business, including Fannie Mae DUS, Freddie Mac DUS Program Plus, and FHA, as well as Wachovia's Affordable Housing initiatives.

Brett began his career in the Real Estate Finance Group at Bank of America, with assignments in Charlotte, Atlanta, and Chicago. He holds degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and an MBA from the Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University.

Jessica Smith, Director of Property Management for the Insite Properties team discovered her passion for real estate in 2011. She transitioned her career journey from Wall Street with Goldman Sachs to established multi-family and new construction lease-up properties in Charlotte, NC. She has utilized her great analytical and financial knowledge to quickly grow in the industry and into our Director of Property Management. Jessica oversees the management for Insite’s medical, mixed use and flex office building portfolios. She is looking to leave her footprint on each site as well as lead them to financial success.

After residing in various cities along the East Coast, Jessica has settled down in Nashville, TN with her husband Logan, three sons and toy poodle, Cookie. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis, and traveling.

Jason Whitlatch joined Insite Properties in July 2024 as Chief Financial Officer, leveraging a strong background in financial management, accounting, and strategic planning. Prior to his role at Insite, Jason served as CFO for nine years at a third-generation commercial real estate firm, where he helped guide the company through a period of significant growth and financial stability.

His career includes notable stints consulting with banks and life insurance companies on institutional financial products, as well as serving as CFO for both a closely held business and a private equity firm. Jason is both a CFA charterholder and Certified Public Accountant (CPA), holding a BS in Business Administration and a Master of Accounting degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Mary is a real estate and business professional with nearly 40 years of experience in commercial real estate operations. In addition to her membership in the National Association of Realtors and the North Carolina Association of Realtors, she holds multiple certifications and accreditations, including Certified Property Manager (CPM) through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) from the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute.

Has served in leadership capacities in many trade organizations including CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Charlotte with past positions including 2022 President, CREW Network Delegate, and chair of Member Recognition and IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management) both nationally and with the Western North Carolina Chapter. Her involvement in national IREM includes serving on its board of directors, serving as chair of the Ethics Hearing Board, and serving as President of the international IREM Foundation, a philanthropic organization. Additionally, Mary is a recipient of the Charlotte Business Journal Women in Business Achievement Award, the Mecklenburg Times Most Influential Women Award, and Globe Street’s Women of Influence Award.
